Overview of
FlashAtlas Models
FlashAtlas uses navigational models that combine visual graphics with
flexible, extensible category hierarchies. Users click on the graphical
models to drill into hierarchical representations of the product categories.
This system provides end users with a holistic and intuitive context of
their navigation, while delivering easy access to specific details.
Flashmap Systems bundles four standard models with FlashAtlas:
Customers are not limited to these four models. FlashAtlas
provides customers not only the freedom to modify and adapt the bundled
models, but also the ability to use their own or third party models if
they choose. This capability provides the customer the flexibility to
utilize a model that will intuitively and effectively represent their
IT universe for their end users.
Regardless of whether the customer uses the bundled models or incorporate
their own, FlashAtlas allows the customer to utilize role-based customization
of the content represented. So, while an enterprise architect in San Fransisco
and a IT director in Atlanta will navigate the same graphical models,
FlashAtlas will provide each with the information that applies to their
needs, automatically weeding out the chaff that is often associated with
standards dissemination and compliance.
